On the Edit > Preferences > Appearance page there is a "Show up to [10] recent
files" preference, with 10 being the default value when Wireshark is installed.
Wireshark will show the last 10 opened files on the history list.
If you set that preference to a larger number, say 20, then Wireshark will show
up to 20 recently opened files on the history list. However, if you shut down
and restart Wireshark, the list will be truncated to the last 10 entries.
After the restart, you can get back up as many as 20 (or whatever number you
set) files on the history list during the new Wireshark session, but the list
will be truncated to 10 again on every restart.
